Big Ice

The Big Ice is a more intense visit than the Minitrekking, for people with good athletic state, the total duration of the ride is 12 hours. The bus leaves very early in the morning from El Calafate, makes a brief half-hour visit to the viewpoints, to take advantage of most of the time over the Perito Moreno glacier. Sail for 20 minutes until you reach the refuge area, where the walk through the forest will begin. The total walking time is approximately 6:30 am, of which 3:30 am are dedicated to ice with crampons, where you can see cracks, lagoons, streams, eventually caves. A picnic is held on the ice. It is recommended to book in advance.
